Bookings via Friend-Park are subject to our Terms and Conditions, in particular § 10 on cancellation and no-shows. In brief:
- You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the booked start of the service.
- Within 24 hours before the start of the service, cancellation via Friend-Park is no longer possible; the provider’s terms apply.
- Not turning up without cancelling (no-show): the full agreed fee may be charged.
- Refund: if you paid online, the full amount including the service fee is automatically refunded to the original means of payment in the case of free cancellation.
How to cancel online
- Log in to your customer account – or, as a guest, use the Find booking function.
- As a guest, you enter your email address and booking number and receive a secure link that is valid for 72 hours.
- Select the booking and cancel it – online this is possible up to 24 hours before the vehicle handover at the latest.

Rebooking: what is possible and what is not
You cannot change the period or the service (for example valet instead of shuttle) yourself. The simplest way: cancel free of charge up to 24 hours beforehand and book again with the new details. Alternatively, contact us in good time via the contact form. You can, however, adjust details such as name, vehicle, number plate, flight details and notes yourself up to the vehicle handover. Flight cancelled

How the 24-hour deadline is calculated
A common misunderstanding: the deadline does not refer to your departure but to the booked start of the service, i.e. the time at which you intended to hand over or park the car. If you booked the handover for Saturday at 7:00, free cancellation is possible until Friday at 7:00. For early flights with a handover in the middle of the night, the deadline shifts accordingly. It is best to enter the deadline in your calendar directly after booking, with reference to the start of parking.
What applies to short-notice cancellations
Within the last 24 hours before the service begins, cancellation via Friend-Park is no longer possible; the terms of the respective provider then apply. The background is that the provider has reserved the space and, where applicable, staff for you. If you do not turn up at all without cancelling, the full fee may become due. That is why it is worth cancelling even at short notice instead of simply not coming – this limits the costs.
When the airline rebooks
Airlines sometimes move flights by hours or to another day. After every change by the airline, check whether your parking booking still fits. If the departure is only moved by an hour, it is often enough to inform the provider. If it is moved by a day, cancelling and booking again is usually the better way – provided you are still within the free cancellation period. Refund: what you can expect
If you cancel an online-paid booking free of charge, the full amount including the service fee is automatically refunded to the original means of payment. How quickly the credit appears in your account or on your credit card statement depends on your payment service provider. Keep the cancellation confirmation until the refund has arrived.
Partial changes without cancelling
Not every change requires a cancellation. If you have a different car than planned, a new name for the booking or a changed flight number, you can adjust these details yourself at Friend-Park up to the vehicle handover. This is particularly practical if the family car has to go to the garage shortly before the trip and you drive a different vehicle. A new booking is only necessary for the period and service.
Group trips and several bookings
If several cars of a travel group drive to Munich Airport and the trip is cancelled, each booking must be cancelled individually. Check whether all participants are keeping an eye on their bookings, or take over the cancellation centrally if you made all the bookings.
